Last week Shutter was released on the official WordPress.org plugin repository. Within the first 6 days of being released it has received close to 800 downloads and a lot of positive feedback.

Today WPShutter.com has officially launched. There’s not much to find here as of now but things will slowly roll out over the next few weeks. The plugin is still in early development and I would still consider it to be in “Open Beta”. Make sure to head on over to the support forum if you have any questions or need help.
With the continuous updates and development of Shutter there are also a few add-ons lined up to be released. The first add-on I’d like to release is catered to photographers who’d like private galleries for clients, and an ordering system for users to select which photographs they’d like out of a batch of photos from a shoot. This will most likely be called “ShutterProof”.
That’s all for now folks. I haven’t been promoting the plugin much as of yet since it’s nothing ground breaking at all as of now. I hope you find the plugin useful and stay tuned for more exciting releases.
Make sure to let me know what you think.
Thanks!
Shutter is working well for me. How about adding the name of each gallery to the [shutter_galleries] shortcode.
Awesome
Thanks for the feedback Robin! I think that’s a great idea. I’ll get it as an argument so you could do something like [shutter_galleries title="true"] in the next release.
Released this in 0.7.1. Titles will now show when using the default shortcode.
If you’d like to disable them you can use [shutter_galleries title="false"].

Thanks again!
