ShutterProof v0.4 adds just that!

Here’s how you can get upgraded:

1. Head over to WP Dashboard -> Plugins -> and click “Check for updates” on Shutter Proofing
2. You are upgraded to v0.4!

v0.3+ contains the auto upgrader. If you are running an older version you’ll need to manually upgrade.

You can download the latest version of ShutterProof from your my-account/orders page:

Here’s what’s new:

New Proofing Widget

Head over to WP Dashboard -> Widgets -> and add the Shutter Proofing widget to your sidebar.

This will only show on the Proofing Gallery page.

Once added you’ll see this widget on your proofing gallery pages:

Selected Photo Count

We’ve also added the selected photo count next to the form submission button:

As of version 0.9, Shutter is now packaged with PressTrends. PressTrends is a service which helps WordPress developers understand how their plugins and themes are being used. With a little more insight it’s easier to provide better support for users (you) and develop better updates and add-ons in the future with a deeper understanding of how things are being used.

You can of course opt-out of PressTrends too. If you aren’t interested in helping out head on over to your Shutter Settings -> Advanced Settings and click the opt-out checkbox. PressTrends will not be included for Shutter on your site.

I’m really excited about the last item on that list. Updates to WordPress Media Management is something I know a lot of us have been waiting on for some time now. I’m interested to see what changes are made here and how they can be tied into Shutter to make this plugin even more powerful for Photographers.

Today WPShutter.com has officially launched. There’s not much to find here as of now but things will slowly roll out over the next few weeks. The plugin is still in early development and I would still consider it to be in “Open Beta”. Make sure to head on over to the support forum if you have any questions or need help.

With the continuous updates and development of Shutter there are also a few add-ons lined up to be released. The first add-on I’d like to release is catered to photographers who’d like private galleries for clients, and an ordering system for users to select which photographs they’d like out of a batch of photos from a shoot. This will most likely be called “ShutterProof”.

That’s all for now folks. I haven’t been promoting the plugin much as of yet since it’s nothing ground breaking at all as of now. I hope you find the plugin useful and stay tuned for more exciting releases.
